PRECEPTS OF THE PAY IT FORWARD LINDEN PROJECT

THE CONCEPT

The simplest way to define “pay it forward” is that when someone does something for you, instead of paying that person back directly, you pass it on to another person instead. One of the easiest examples of this is buying a coffee for the person in line behind you at the coffee shop and then they buy a coffee for the person behind them and so on.

THE PURPOSE

Our project focuses on our Linden Community, or what we call our Linden Tribe and ways to incorporate the Pay it Forward concept into our daily life and raise up a generation that has Pay It Forward tattooed on their heart.

As we work to spread acts of kindness around our community, we motivate and introduce new generations to the Pay It Forward concept as we share the countless uplifting stories.

THE GOAL

It’s to make a difference in our community (no matter how great or small the effort) with random acts of kindness.

Our mission isn’t to save the world, but a purposed outreach to unite our community by being aware and responding to the needs of our tribe members.

As we work to spread acts of kindness within our community, we seek innovative ways to introduce new generations to the concept and to share the countless uplifting stories.

LINDEN’S PAY IT FORWARD DAY

Across the nation, April 28 has been designated Pay It Forward Day. The Linden community Pay It Forward Day is NOVEMBER 1.

November seems to usher the start to the Thanksgiving | Christmas holiday season. It’s a time we pause to give thanks and express gratitude for our many blessings. What better season to Pay Forward our blessings?

THE RESULTS

It has been proven that acts of kindness build rapidly in a community because people believe that one good deed deserves another. “Paying it forward” can make the world a better place; it can make our Linden community not only a better place, but a great place to live.

When you see Pay It Forward Linden signage in the yard of a tribe member it signifies an individual, business or family committed to making a difference in our community. They are a participant in the Pay It Forward Project and to the purpose of this project.

Have you ever done anything to “pay it forward?” Has anyone ever done a good deed for you? Tell us about it and how it made you feel. Even if you live outside the Linden Community, we want to hear from you because it may be an idea that someone in our Linden tribe can use to Pay It Forward.
