In 2020 amidst the pandemic of COVID and everyone in lock-down Linden Pay it Forward knew something had to be done to celebrate the holiday season in our town. There was no parade, no fireworks and community spirits were at an all-time low.
Symphony Assisted Living posted a Facebook shout-out that they were looking for groups within our community to lift the spirits of their seniors who were unable to have family/friends visit due to COVID restrictions. As the President of LPIF, I casually mentioned the situation to our group. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect two of our TRIBE member, Wendy Wagner and Stephanie Johnson, to run with it and make it a community mission that far exceeded our expectations.
This event was so well received, it will now be a part of Linden Pay It Forward’s contribution to the City of Linden each year whether it is on the Symphony grounds or elsewhere in town.
