There are not enough words of thanks to gift the group that came out today to get the LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR TREE decorated today. It was cold, did I say it was cold? YES, it was and it took a couple of hours to get it all done. (Click photo for enlarged view of lit tree).
There is still a bit of tweaking to be done on the lights to fill in some spots that are insistent on not staying lit. Thank you Tracy L. Smith for your persistence in forging holes in the frozen ground to seat our cardboard signs.
Project manager, Laura Hura, did a great job in making sure that we had all the right materials and ornaments ready to get the job done. Marlene Craig had the precarious job of climbing the ladder to reach the high spots on the tree while Jennifer LeClair steadied the ladder to ensure there were no falls.
We did have some hot chocolate on hand to warm our spirits and there were plenty of passing cars that honked their praise. I hope the community enjoys the LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR TREE and will take some time to visit it and read the many love messages TRIBE members have hand-written on each ornament.
Take a moment and enjoy some of the photos taken by the crew. Thank you Terra Phillips for stopping by and taking some photos and helping as needed.
